Empowering Your Educational and Administrative Teams
Michelle Hoffman has been educating teams, schools, and community groups on teen mental health struggles and evidence-based strategies for intervention for the past ten years. Adolescence is a pivotal time marked by significant emotional and psychological development, but it also comes with its unique set of struggles. From navigating academic pressures to dealing with social media influences and societal expectations, our adolescents are facing a multitude of stressors that can impact their mental well-being. Youth mental wellness hurdles can result in school avoidance/refusal, suicidality, chronic dysregulation, and unsafe behaviors, or any other mental health challenge that is causing significant disruption in a family's life.
As a speaker to various community-based groups, Michelle sheds light on some of these challenges and provides valuable insights on how we can support our teenagers through these tumultuous times. She fosters open dialogue and promotes understanding of the complex challenges of today’s adolescent population. Using a combination of data, research, experience, and humor to help understand the perspective of the suicidal person, or the school refusal person, Michelle then provides specific tools on what to do and what not to do to support them. Her use of evidence-based strategies ensures that interventions are effective and produce meaningful outcomes for the teen and family.
