Meet Michelle
Michelle Hoffman is a Licensed Family Therapist. She has worked in several areas of mental health including residentials, in-home therapy, and therapeutic day schools. Michelle works with any type of family and has extensive experience with families who have teenagers or young adults who are chronically dysregulated and/or unsafe.
Michelle is trained to work with several common diagnoses including ADHD, school avoidance, ASD, borderline personality disorder, suicidality/self-harm, and anxiety/depression. She can work with the teenager individually, provide parent coaching, or work with the family as a whole. Michelle uses several modalities during sessions including books, videos, movement, and humor to create a healthy therapeutic environment. Michelle firmly believes that the goal of therapy is to reach a point when it becomes unnecessary.
In addition to her work as a family therapist, Michelle provides training to parents or school groups on topics such as school refusal, suicidality, self-harm, and dysregulation.

Telehealth Visits
Committing to therapy and fitting in time for regular counseling sessions can be challenging. Michelle offers virtual videoconferencing sessions to facilitate participation in counseling and begin treatment.
Michelle has experience conducting virtual counseling sessions using several techniques to ensure a beneficial and personal experience.
Using HIPAA-compliant software, we also offer telehealth sessions using Doxy Me for Massachusetts residents.
